Bally Chohan Business Update – Emirates to buy aircraft worth $16.9b

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that Dubai based Emirates Airlines has once again lived up to its image as one of the fastest growing carrier by placing an order worth USD 16.9b for new aircrafts and engine. Dubai based Emirates Airlines placed this order on Monday at the Farnborough Airshow.

Bally Chohan feels that with this new deal Emirates Airlines has once again stunned the global aviation industry. This deal has come just within one month of Boeing and Airbus fighting for aircraft orders.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that Emirates Airlines has successfully placed order for an additional thirty Boeing 777-300ER aircrafts at Farnborough. The order of 30 Boeing 777-300Er is valued at approximately USD 9.1 billion. The order placed at Farnborough also includes USD 4.8 billion deal for 32 GP7200 engines to power Airbus 380s with Engine Alliance and a USD 3 billion order for 30 GE90 for B-777s with GE Aviation.

Emirates Airlines is considered to be the largest carrier in Arab world. Emirates Airlines has placed record orders worth USD 11.5 billion to procure 32 A380s at Berlin Airshow in June 2010. The order of 32 A380s was placed to Airbus.

Emirates Airlines has placed orders worth USD 28.4 billion this year.

The deal at Farnborough Airshow was signed in presence of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The deal was however signed by Chairman and Chief Executive Office of Emirates Airline and Group , Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and Jim Albaugh, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Commercials Airplanes.

Emirates Airlines is celebrating its silver jubilee anniversary this year. UAE Armed Forces and Dubai International Airshow are participating at Farnborough. Shaikh Mohammed congratulated Emirates Group for its amazing performance and surpassing the achievement of long-established carriers.

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that this new order will be tremendous boost to Emirates Airlines strategy to become leading carrier of the world. This will also give boost to its effort in establishing Dubai as gateway hub to worldwide air travel.  

Bally Chohan Dubai UAE has come to know that Emirates Airlines is already on track to become one of the largest airlines in the world. Emirates Airlines is flying to 103 destinations in 63 countries.  Last year when the aviations industry was struggling to make both ends meet, the Emirates Airlines reported a net profit of USD 964 million. Emirates Airlines has already ordered for an additional 204 aircraft worth more than USD 68 billion. This is in addition to a fleet of 149 wide-body Airbus and Boeing aircraft that Emirates is already operating.

The deal at Farnborough was signed in presence of senior executives from Emirates group including Maurice Flanagan, Executive Vice-Chairman Emirates Airlines and Groups, Tim Clark, President Emirates Airlines and Gary Chapman, President Group Services and Dnata.

Airbus and Boeing, the two titans in aerospace industry are fighting it hard to get one step ahead. Together they have delivered 979 aircrafts in 2009 as against 858 aircrafts in 2008. Bally Chohan Dubai UAE says that global aerospace market has come back faster than expected.
