Bally Chohan Dubai Education – KHDA inspects 210 schools in Dubai

Bally Chohan has come to know that KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority) in Dubai has inspected 210 schools during 2010. Out of these 210 schools only five were able to score full points. Out of these five schools only three schools were rated as outstanding. The outstanding rating was conferred to these three schools by Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB)

Bally Chohan says that DSIB carried out second round of inspection between October & March 2010. Asian schools were not included in the first round. Only four schools out of 189 schools were able to receive top honours in the first round of inspection.

Following schools were rated outstanding:

• Manhal Kindergarten
• Al Nukhbah Model School
• Childhood Development Centre
• GEMS Wellington International School
• Kings Dubai School

Only GEMS Wellington International School provides high school education.

The schools rated outstanding were adjudged on the responsibility shown by students their learning skills, self evaluation, safety measure taken by school, what are schools assessment processes and how school is engaging parents.

Bally Chohan says that most of the Taaleem run schools were adjudged as very good. Taaleem is the second largest education provider in Dubai.
