Bally Chohan says that a child was brutally beaten by staff member of an Arabic private school in Fujairah. Boy’s mother told media persons that the boy was beaten for carrying football in school without permission. The boy who was beaten mercilessly by school staff is only fourteen years old and his name is Yousuf Hussam Abdul Aziz.
Bally Chohan came to know that the boy came home bleeding from his ears and was badly bruised all over the neck and back. Boy was afraid to talk, at one point of time he thought that he will die at the hand of the man. Boy informed her mother that the school administrator beat him with long stick.
Meanwhile Fujairah Education zone has already initiated investigations into this incident. This incident occurred at Fujairah Islamic Academic High School on 31st March 2010. Bally Chohan came to know through some reliable sources that Investigation by legal affairs department ic complete and the decision to this effect is expected anytime now.
Family of the boy has already lodged complaint with Fujairah police. In her complaint boy’s mother complained that the school administration is yet to suspend the concerned staffer in spite of her written complaint to the school. Meanwhile boy is reported to be suffering through a trauma and is frightened to go to school.
Bally Chohan met school principal who is trying to play down the incident. Principal told Bally Chohan that family of boy is trying to tarnish the image of school. As per principal he has already fined the concerned staff by deducting his salary for three days.
Ministry of Education in United Arab Emirates has taken strong exception of the incident and has clearly told that any kind of corporal punishment will not be tolerated in any school of UAE.
