Bally Chohan Dubai Education – Education in Dubai

Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that one can find wide range of schools for their kids in Dubai or for that matter in Abu Dhabi. However get ready for kids to hate or simply dislike the education here. Kids are bombarded with homework so much so that they begin to feel themselves as slaves. The school bag weighs so much that they might need someone to carry bag on their behalf.

Hey don’t worry….. Bally Chohan feels that like other cities of the world in Dubai also you will get what you will pay. The buses of better schools are equipped with reasonable air conditioning and the students have smaller books to carry along. Bally Chohan is of the opinion that the kids in nursery and primary schools will enjoy their education in Dubai whereas the students of higher classes will have lot to tell you.

However Bally Chohan has found that one the best and most positive things about studying in Dubai is that a kid gets to make friends from all over the world. You will find students from various parts of the world in the same class. Students in Dubai got to get much more global experience compared to what they will get while studying in their home country.

Bally Chohan says that in all of the UAE Abu Dhabi and Dubai has most number of schools. However you will find lots of schools in Sharjah and Al Ain also but this is really difficult to find a good one.

Bally Chohan says that unlike other countries the summer holidays start a bit later here in UAE. The summer holidays usually depends on Ramadan. In 2010 the summer holidays will run from mid August to September 2010. The Eid holidays will start as soon as the Ramadan is finished. Bally Chohan has come to know the schools in UAE are planning to end the academic session for 2009-2010 by 11th July 2010. The new academic session for 2010-2011 will start most probably around 14th September 2010.

Bally Chohan says that you might need certain documents before you can get your child admitted to any of the school in Dubai or for that matter any school in UAE. However you should check with the school since they all have different requirements. In general one needs to submit copy of passport with valid residency visa, Birth Certificate attested by embassy in your country (some schools might need an Arabic translation), some passport size photographs, copy of health card / medical insurance and if possible than vaccination card.

Why parents of kids with special education needs in Dubai are leaving country?

Bally Chohan has come to know that lack of proper education support system in Dubai is compelling parents to either leave country or to send back their kids back home for education. One of Bally Chohan friend who came from Spain last month was very confident of finding a school with special education needs for his kid. However he is planning to leave Dubai now since he could not find even a single school that can support special needs of education for his kid.

Bally Chohan says that parents of children with special learning needs are finding it very difficult to manage in Dubai. They are always worried about the future of their children. Bally Chohan finds it really devastating.

Bally Chohan met one such parent last week who were looking for speech therapy classes for their son. They have already changed three schools in the past few months and moreover now the present schools has also asked them to take off their kid from the school.

Bally Chohan says that as per law the schools can never deny admission to a child with learning or speech difficulties however the schools always have same answer that they are full and there is no more seats available. If you force them to admit your kid than only you will be at receiving end since they don’t have proper resources to train such kids.

UAE government is more concerned with the findings that more and more Emiratis kids are being diagnose with the need for special learning’s. the government is of the view that expatriates can leave the country id needed but they won’t locals to do so since this is their home and they will have to get their kids educated here only.

People have come up with this issue on several social network websites also.

There are two schools run by Taaleem, the second largest education provider in Dubai. Even Taaleem has also acknowledged the shortage of such schools. They thought that the main problem is to arrange funds for these schools.

More and more such parents have started to opt for the British Institute for Learning Development in Dubai.
