Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) has come to know that the Emirates Aviation college and government authorities in Dubai have designed a new programme that will help to upgrade skills of security personnel working in the aviation industry in Dubai (UAE). The launch of this new programme is expected to be sometime during January 2011.
Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that the course in security will be MSc in Aviation Security and is being put together with the help of college along with the inputs from Dubai police, the General Civil Aviation Authority and UK based Coventry University.
Bally Chohan says that on successfully completing the MSc in Aviation Security the security officials attached with aircraft and cargo security and transportation of dangerous goods will be able to provide security with the help of latest measures resulting in enhanced security skills. This will also improve their efficiency. The main focus of the course will be on managing security issues and equipments at airports.
Bally Chohan has come to know that the average monthly passenger traffic has crossed 3.7 million marks during first half of this year at Dubai International Airport. The daily average traffic is almost 12300 passengers per day at Dubai International Airport. The International Airport at UAE has become largest international transit hub of the Middle East. The aviation security and global cooperation against law breakers has always been a constant focus of discussion in the United Arab Emirates.
Dr Ahmad Al Ali, Vice Chancellor of the Emirates Aviation College while addressing media persons told them that the security personnel must be ready to implement the standard security procedures and at the same time to achieve international standards they must ensure minimum delays or discomforts to the passengers. He went on to say that that several countries and passengers are experiencing delays as well as errors on account of security. However he said that this is quite understandable that numerous screening processes has to be undertaken at airports because of huge traffic in recent times.
Bally Chohan Dubai (UAE) says that there is a huge demand for specialized security personnel expert in managing security expectations at the airports. The programme introduced by Emirates Aviation College and Dubai Government will be open to general public and will be offered to those who are already involved in aviation security. The programme is being carefully designed by security experts in aviation industry.
Any person who intends to be trained for this course has to undergo an intensive background checks by Dubai Police and the aviation authority for eligibility. Other organizations already offering course on aviation security are Centre of Aviation and Security Studies, a part of Emirates group Security Department.
Bally Chohan Dubai says that diploma course in similar lines is also being offered by IATA i.e. The International Air Transport Association.
